I wish McDonald’s would stop trying to use social media. As a large, global company I’m assuming they feel compelled to do keep up with the trends… but really, does ANYONE really feel a special connection to them? Sure, everyone loves (and is addicted) to their french fries but they’re kidding if they think people want to tweet on their behalf. The now-classic #McDStories hashtag debacle will go down in social media history as a marketing blunder.
I just did a quick search to see what the dialogue around #McDStories is now and see people using #bashtag lol. The Internet is great.
